On making a difference

Remember a while back…
A few hundred peaceful people dressed up, waved banners and marched through London and the government cancelled the poll tax?

   Edit
Remember when the government were so impressed with Ms Pankhurst and her strongly worded letter to her MP got women the vote?

We try, every time, we try.
We write letters, we sign petitions, we arrange meetings and dialogue with those we oppose.

But what changes things is a show of force. Not necessarily violence. A force of public resistance.
Junior doctors saying no. We will not work under these conditions.

Train drivers saying no, this is not acceptable.

Compassionate people in fields saying you will not kill this animals.

The brave people taking aid to refugees.

And people standing looking at the face of hatred and violence and saying to the fascists, no pasaran.

Yes, some people will tut and say you go too far, I agree with you, but the police/government say we that’s how it is, but let’s be honest we know, if we stop the traffic in parliament sq. if we ignore the police and stay in the field for that fox or badger. We make a difference.

If we occupy the land they want to frack on. If we take back the power we have handed to Westminster. If we don’t rely on Jeremy Corbyn and Brian May to save things but do it ourselves. We can win.

The street they tell you to stay off is our street. The field you protect is our countryside. The people you fight for are our our people.

We stand together and fight together.

And they are cliches because they are true. An injury to one is an injury to all.
Stand strong stand proud, and support your comrades!
